| | | Darla Sturdy (Guest) | 03/09/2010 14:42 | | I was at the unemployment office north portland only one station open, an employee was talking to a man by the name of craig. She said there is hope and you will find a job. God sat me down next to him and I told him my story of the loss of my son, and I too em looking for a job. I told him how God has helped me thru every step with my son. He said he is having a very hard time, we kept talking and I told him here is your hope I have a bacelet for you to wear all the time, it has information of my church and god will give that hope to you. I asked him what kind of job, when he told me the guy on the other side said I didn't know thats what you were looking for and gave him a card and told him if he contacts this person he will have a chance for that job. Craig smiled and said now I have HOPE I will go today. I told craig, God is always with us but what we want may not be in our time its in Gods. So today when I gave the hope braclet God worked with in 30 seconds. I had already given my first braclet yesterday and went back to the church today to have another one just in case God wanted me to meet another and he did, I met Craig. God is working thru all of us, and there is a person for all of us to meet like Craig.

As I was walking back to my chair I asked myself what the heck have I gotten myself into? I have an employee who just lost his mom. I was going to share my reason for the hope I have. I prayed to God all the way to work Monday morning to give me His words and strength to do this. When I got to work I noticed the employee had called in sick that day. I would just have to wait till Tuesday to share. As I returned to the office from my noon time walk another employees name popped into my head. I asked God if this was from Him and if I should share my hope story with this employee. I had a very real sense that this is what I needed to do. This employee is having marital problems. I called the employee into my office and told him I had a gift that I would be honored if he accepted it. I shared my hope story of my marriage, $1000.00 and my daughter. He let me pray for he and his wife. He accepted my hope bracelet. I told him I hope every time he looks at the bracelet he would know he is not alone. The following is an email I received from him this morning.
Thanks for sharing the stories and a little bit of yourself with me yesterday. I believe God puts people in our lives to help us on our journey here, and I can see His signature all over this. I am grateful to Him and to you. The story you shared about you and Dar, and how your prayer for peace was answered, really hit home with me. I have not known what to pray for over the last few weeks, and you helped answer that for me. I asked for peace in all of this last night, and wouldn't you know it, I have been given a sense of peace. There's only one explanation for that.
Thank you, again. It's something I'll never forget.
I'm getting another breacelet Wednesday. I have more work to do Thursday.
