Clothing Ministry
3 years ago we launched an outreach effort to single parents in our community. That effort included a children’s clothes closet to provide clothes to children of single parent families who didn't have much. On the positive side, we have made an impact and are ministering to several single parent families as a regular part of our fellowship and are very pleased for that opportunity. However, we have decided to shift our strategy in order to better serve the church as a whole.
We still want your clothes and in fact, we want all your clothes and linens too!
We have found a local ministry/organization, GivSmart who is willing to pay us by the pound for used clothing and linen items. The list includes: ALL clothing, sheets, towels, blankets, purses, wallets, ties, shoes and socks.
GivSmart then gives clothing to community organizations or sells it to Value Village Thrift Stores. You will find several bins for donations in the hallway, opposite the main bathrooms. All funds raised will be used for youth missions projects locally and abroad. Our shift in strategy will allow the clothes to go to families in need while helping to fund important youth missions projects. It is a win win for everyone!
