Kia ora koutou katoa! I am Jay!
Though I was born here in Portland, I have lived the life of a missionary kid and most recently come from Aotearoa – New Zealand! Growing up as both a missionary kid and a pastors kid gave me a deep love for Jesus. I have been in youth ministry for nearly a decade and have seen it all!
As a youth pastor, my passion and goal is to help youth develop themselves into lifelong followers of Jesus built on the foundation of the “Big Three” – Scripture, Prayer and Christian Community. When we are interconnected as the body of Christ, we can strive together to walk in our journey with God and bring change to the world around us.
When I am not leading, I am either creating something or I am out and about on an adventure! I love 3d printing small things like little fidgets, or big things like swords and armor. I grew up with a big community and constantly having people over, and I couldn’t host so many things without my wonderful wife Daniella! She is amazing at hospitality and loves to cook delicious meals for people, I would be lost without her!
