Welcome to Mountainview!
Mountainview exists to affect life change through belonging, growing and serving.

Planted in 1969, Mountainview is an integral part of Gresham and East County. We are inter-generational, where our older and younger generations learn from each other on their way to becoming more like Jesus. Mountainview believes that everyone needs life change and strives to encourage and support others as they become the best versions of themselves through belonging (being with Jesus), growing (becoming like Jesus) and serving (doing what Jesus did).

Our Beliefs

Here are some answers to common questions.

We believe in one God- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Scriptural Support:

Matthew 4:15, 45; 6:1,4,8,9; James 1:17 John 1:1, 14:9 Genesis 1:2; John 4:24

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and Savior of the world.

Who was born Jesus of Nazareth, both fully human and fully divine, conceived of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary.

Who was crucified, died, was buried, and who rose again bodily from the dead on the third day.

Who ascended into Heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father.

Who will return to earth to judge both the living and the dead.

The true church is made up of all people who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been made a new creation. We are united together in the Body of Christ as brothers and sisters, giving our allegiance and service to Jesus Christ, our Head.

We believe in the Church of Jesus Christ, founded on the Day of Pentecost and consisting of all Christians everywhere.

We believe the church is the bride of Christ and the body of Christ.

We believe the purpose of the church is to fulfill the last command of Jesus.

We believe that fellowship with a local church is a necessary part of the Christian experience.

We believe the Bible teaches that the Elders are to exercise authority over the local congregation.
