As the Financial Assistant at Mountainview, I help track our church’s income and expenses—but for me, it’s about more than just numbers. I’m committed to staying sensitive to the Spirit’s leading, both in the work I do and in the way I interact with others. One of my favorite verses is Colossians 3:23–24: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men...” That verse reminds me who I’m really serving each day. I also love that our leadership team at Mountainview seeks God’s direction in all things—it’s a joy to be part of that kind of faithfulness.
I was born in Missouri and moved to Colorado when I was young. I’ve followed Jesus all my life, but I chose to be baptized and confirmed during high school at La Veta United Methodist Church. I later graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in English Literature, and it was there that I met my husband, Bill. We’ve been blessed with two wonderful sons, and I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to stay home and be fully present with them throughout their childhood and teen years.
