Laura Barth

Laura Barth is the Financial Assistant at Mountainview and is responsible for tracking church income and expenses. She is committed to being sensitive to the Spirit’s guidance not only in completing her tasks but also in how she interacts with others. Her favorite scripture passage is Colossians 3:23-24, which says “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving”. She loves that the leadership at MV is faithful to seek God’s direction in all things.

Laura was born in Missouri and moved to Colorado as a child. She has always been a follower of Jesus, but decided to be baptized and confirmed while attending La Veta United Methodist Church in high school. She graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in English Literature, where she also met her husband, Bill. They have two wonderful sons, and she had the opportunity to be home and available to them and to volunteer in schools during their entire childhood and teen years. Kyle is now 23 and a recent graduate of Oregon State University with a degree in Biomedical Science with plans to become a physician assistant. Kevin is 21 and attending classes at Mt. Hood Community College working toward a transfer to Portland State University to get a degree in English with an emphasis on creative writing. As a Type 2, she is a “Helper” by nature and is committed to loving God and loving people based on the Spirit’s prompting.
