Marissa Desborough serves as support to the Administrative and Creative Teams. She is responsible for facilitating open communication between Mountainview office staff and the Creative Arts Teams in addition to providing support for special projects. Her background in administrative roles as well as in worship leading and service building, influences her approach to her position. She enjoys being able to support the cohesive flow of services and the daily operations of the church in an effort to glorify God. She studied at Hope International University and served as a Worship Leader for 6 years and as the Director of Music Ministry in a Lutheran Church and School for 3 years in Southern California. Marissa’s favorite thing about MV is the clear vision of God’s call on the church. The people here are committed to following the example that Jesus set for them by loving God and loving their neighbors.
Marissa is a wife and mother to three rambunctious boys: Jameson (7), Leeland (5), and Patrick (3). The family recently moved here from Southern California (Orange County). As a Type 1 “Reformer” she loves to tackle new projects and to support people during transition. Her favorite passage of scripture comes from 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 which says “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation”.
