Hi, I’m Tom, and I have the joy and honor of serving as the Lead Pastor at Mountainview. My heart beats for helping people grow closer to Jesus—not just by knowing more about Him, but by actually learning to think like Him and live the way He did. I care deeply about our church family, and I want everyone to know they are loved, seen, and valued.
In my role, I provide spiritual direction and strategic leadership to our congregation, staff, and ministries. I work alongside our Elder Team and have the privilege of leading both our pastoral and administrative staff. But more than anything, I just love people. I love sitting with them, walking with them, and helping them discover who Jesus is and who they are in Him.
I started in vocational ministry back in 1999 as a Youth Minister, and since joining Mountainview in 2003, I’ve had the chance to serve in a variety of roles—Associate Youth Pastor, Youth Pastor, Children’s Pastor, and department lead for Student and Youth Ministries—before stepping into the Lead Pastor role. Through every season, one thing has remained the same: Mountainview feels like family. I’m constantly blown away by the generosity, authenticity, and passion of this church to make a difference in the world.
I was born in Wyoming, moved to Oklahoma at age 10, went to college in Missouri, and even spent a little time in Texas—but Oregon has been home longer than anywhere else, and I proudly claim it. I’m married to my amazing wife Sara, and together we’re raising two wonderful kids. Life is full, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
